With the end of summer, the many festivals that promote and valorise the food&wine excellence of the province of Torino’s territory return.
From Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 the Porcino Festival is in Quassolo: not only gastronomy but also a market, music, walks in the woods in search of the delicious mushrooms!
From Friday 20 to Sunday 22, on the other hand, it is the turn of the Villastellone Potato Festival: folk music and traditional dances, farmers’ market, exhibition fair, gastronomic walk ‘Let’s taste the Pianalto’, stands of local crafts and rural culture.
Many appointments for Sunday 22. In Cuorgnè there is Munta e cala, mangia e beiv: a 7-km walk with 7-food&wine stages in the hills of the Ronchi hamlets with salam ‘d patata, polenta and local cheeses, peppers in bagna càuda, anchovies in green sauce, stuffed onions... You can also walk and eat in the hamlets of Pomaretto, taking part in Communities in bloom with bruschetta, polenta with fondue or sausage sauce, local cheeses and much more... always accompanied by musical entertainment. Another Potato Festival takes place in Sauze d’Oulx: a market of local producers and a travelling menu with tartiflette, potatoes with alpine cheese, potato gnocchi, potato schiacciata... what an appetite!
Lastly, until Sunday 29, there is the traditional Bricherasio Grape Festival, which this week features, among other things, theatrical performances, Occitan dances, the Pinareulvin guided tasting (Friday 20), the Let’s colour Bricherasio run/walk (Saturday 21) and the inauguration of numerous exhibitions (Sunday 22).
