Big names and big shows this week in Torino and its province!
At the Regio Theatre a unique event from Tuesday 7 to Sunday 12: through breathtaking dances and music, the artists of Shen Yun tell of a time when divine beings walked the earth, leaving behind a culture that inspired generations...
As usual, the Colosseo Theatre offers the best of Italian singer-songwriter music: Thursday 9 Roberto Vecchioni with Between silence and thunder tour, Friday 10 Luca Barbarossa with One hundred stories for one hundred songs in the theatre.
On Monday 6 and from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 on stage at the Juvarra Theatre is Whiskey and Soubrette, a show that recounts 40 years of Torino’s artistic history following the adventures of Isa Bluette, Erminio Macario and Fred Buscaglione.
And at the Alfieri Theatre? From Thursday 9 to Sunday 12, Arturo Brachetti presents Cabaret. The Musical, transporting the public to the wild Berlin of the 1930s just a step away from the advent of Nazism, amidst excesses, deprivation of freedom, decadence and everyday contradictions.
Just outside the city, two appointments for particular targets. On Friday 10, the Garybaldi Theatre in Settimo Torinese hosts Erica Mou - one of the most expressive voices on the contemporary scene - with her Circles tour; on Saturday 11 there is the pop punk-emo-trap group La Sad at the Concordia Theatre in Venaria Reale.
Let’s move on to the province.
Ivrea: Friday 10 at Officina H, as part of the Giacosa Theatre season, cabaret with Giuseppe Giacobazzi and The pedestrian. Lights, shadows and colours of an ordinary life.
Almese: Saturday 11 at the Magnetto Auditorium, for the Camaleontika festival, the concert-show Lapsus free schema, which combines music, puzzles and words in a playful and interactive experience.
