ICF CANOE SLALOM WORLD CUP - IVREA 2024

It is once again great world sport for Ivrea and the Canavese from 12 to 15 September, with the penultimate of the five rounds of the 2024 Canoe Slalom World Cup - the first after the Paris Olympic Games -, an event of the International Canoe Federation (ICF), represented in Italia by the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation (FICK), which is part of CONI.

After the first three rounds already held in Augsburg (Germany), Prague (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Poland), the competition for the 2024 World Cup enters its climax with the Ivrea round, before the final sprint with the final challenge scheduled in La Seu d’Urgell (Spain, 19-22 September).

The programme includes four days of races on the Dora Baltea channel, for the K1W, K1M, C1W, C1M, WX1, and MX1 categories. In the city centre the appointments are for Wednesday evening 11 with the opening ceremony and Thursday 12, in the morning, with the parade of all national teams.

Will Olympic gold medallist Giovanni De Gennaro and Stefanie Horn be there?

The Ivrea Canoe Stadium channel is classified as 4th grade for a length of 230m, equipped with 60 slalom gates. Surrounded by greenery but right in the city centre, it is the ‘Territorial Reference Centre’ of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation and a ‘Specialisation Centre’ for Slalom.
