Torino and the surrounding mountains are the venue for the World University Games Winter, the event that originated under the Mole in 1959 under the name Universiade. The XXXII World University Games Winter will take place from 13 to 23 January 2025 in the 6 municipalities hosting the competitions ( Torino, Bardonecchia, Pragelato, Torre Pellice, Pinerolo and Sestriere).
The Closing Ceremony will be held on 23 January 2025, from 20:00 to 23:30, in the suggestive Piazzetta Reale in Torino. The event, directed by Masters of Magic, will feature innovative shows that will combine magic, art and music, paying tribute to the values of sport and to the athletes who took part in this prestigious international event.
The ceremony will continue with the extinguishing of the WUG FISU cauldron, symbolising the official closing of the event. The evening will continue with a DJ set by Fargetta, who will transform Piazzetta Reale into a dance floor under the stars. Admission is free with compulsory booking, subject to availability.
