This year’s edition, entitled Pianissimo!, is dedicated to the piano in Italian and international jazz.
The focus opened on 17 July in Condove, with the presentation of a new jazz star, Francesca Tandoi. In Avigliana, the main stage hosted, from 18 to 20 July, a line-up of great pianists such as Luigi Bonafede, Antonio Faraò and the Canadian Yves Léveillé.
On 26 July, the festival moved for the first time to the Villa Romana in Almese with the quartet of New Yorker Harry Allen, considered by international critics to be the ‘Frank Sinatra of the saxophone’.
On 27 July, the churchyard of the Church of Sant’Ambrogio di Torino will host from Philadelphia the American quartet of one of the greatest vocalists on the international jazz scene, Denise King!
In conclusion, on 26 September, the Magnetto Theatre in Almese will present the show ‘Storyboard’, by Gwen Cahue and Baptiste Bailly.
