As part of the exhibition ‘OLIVETTI: Graficarte’, the Garda Museum in Ivrea is pleased to announce a conference entitled ‘La Bicicletta nell'Epoca di Camillo Olivetti’ (The Bicycle in the Age of Camillo Olivetti), which will be held on Saturday 07 December at 4 pm. The lecture will be held by Alfredo Azzini, one of Italy's leading experts on vintage bicycles and President of the Italian Association of Velocipedes (AVI) and President of the Asi Velocipedi National Commission. The event will be moderated by Dr. Paolo Ghiggio, an orthopaedic physician and cycling enthusiast. Born in Ivrea in 1949, Ghiggio has dedicated his career to hand and upper limb surgery, publishing over 120 scientific papers. After retiring from medical practice, he developed a passion for restoring vintage bicycles, collecting historical memorabilia and participating in competitions with historic vehicles, where he obtained the prestigious Brevetto dei Campionissimi. His work combines a love for two wheels with a commitment to enhancing the bicycle as a symbol of sustainability and historical memory.
