Through documents taken from the historical archives of the great migratory flows of our compatriots, we want to re-listen to the most popular pieces of music of an era that united the Old Continent to the New in a multi-facetedness of sound styles. Mignonette, Ria Rosa, Enrico Caruso, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini are some of the great names of the past that we intend to reintroduce together with Nick La Rocca, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and George Gershwin: folk songs and opera music, work songs, jazz and blues brought together - with force or hope - in that land full of contradictions and opportunities called ‘America’.
