During the Jubilee Year 2025 there will be no public Ostension of the Holy Shroud, but, exploiting the opportunities of digital technology, a ‘virtual pilgrimage’ to the Shroud will be offered to the whole world through dedicated programmes. On 3rd May 2025, Pope Francis will participate by video link in the meeting of young people from the dioceses of Turin and Susa on the occasion of the liturgical feast of the Shroud. Among the initiatives, a ‘Tent of the Shroud’ will be set up, which, during the days of the festival, will offer Turin residents and visitors the opportunity to learn about the Shroud, its history and its significance.
