The Cro-classic-ethno concert is performed by the duo David Kumpare clarinet and Sandro Vešligaj piano on works by contemporary Croatian composers inspired not only by the classical repertoire, but also by folklore and traditional dances, using the Istrian Scale. The Istrian Scale refers to a particular six-tone musical scale, widely used in the folk music genres of Istria and Kvarner and inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2009. The music on offer was written by the most important Croatian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries and also includes pieces written specifically for this musical duo.
