Andrea Luigi Serassi’ Study ConferenceAs part of the programme of events to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the organ builder Andrea Luigi Serassi, an entire day of studies dedicated to the figure of the famous organ builder from Bergamo, to delve into many previously unpublished aspects of Serassi's 18th century art: his fundamental research and perfecting activity applied to the over two hundred instruments that came out of his workshops, his relations with contemporary organ builders and organists, his precious artistic legacy, and finally his recent rediscovery, study and documentation in all its forms, thanks to a capillary and systematic historical research that has lasted over thirty years and has allowed us to reconstruct instrument after instrument, a Catalogue raisonné of 170 organs. Some musical interventions on the organ and the Closing Concert held by Maestro Alberto Dossena will close the day.
