Sandro Lombardi, unforgettable interpreter between 1996 and 1998 of the memorable sequence of Testori's Three Lai (Cleopatràs, Erodiàs, Mater strangosciàs), after having seen her in the staging of the first one, directed by Valter Malosti, hands over to Anna Della Rosa her interpretation of the second and third. Not a direction but a gift, according to the tradition of oriental theatre, in which the most experienced actor hands over his interpretation to the youngest. A gift to the audience for a work that focuses on the second and third parts of the three laments of love. The Lai are Giovanni Testori's last testament: these heroines in the midst of an epochal passing re-emerge from death to tell their stories and weep over the body of their beloved and tell us the mystery of Love.
