FIERA DEL TARTUFO DI MONCALVO

Autumn in Piedmont, when the October mist envelops the scenery of the hills and valleys, brings unmistakable colours and scents to the vineyards and woods, including those of truffles, celebrated throughout the south of the region by fairs and markets.
Among the many events, the Moncalvo Truffle Fair, scheduled from 20 to 27 October, represents a long-standing typical Monferrato tradition: a journey through popular and farming culture among the stories of the "cerche", local recipes and the deep tradition of the hills.
The 2024 edition offers exhibitions, tastings of typical products, shows, musical entertainment and collateral events. And of course we get to meet the protagonists of the festival: the truffle hunter, or trifulau, accompanied by his faithful hound, the tabui.
